Wanda Stansell

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Wanda Henderson Stansell, 61, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.

Mrs. Stansell was born June 28, 1952 in Charlotte, NC and passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. Mrs. Stansell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, camping, tennis and family gatherings. She was a dedicated 25 year employee at Michelin Tire. She was an amazing cook and will be deeply missed by her YaYa Sisters and all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her loving husband of 29 years, Rodger Stansell; sons, Ricky Rimer (Mindy), Russell Rimer, Johnny Stansell (Amy), Tony Stansell, (Brian); brother, John Jordan (Sharon); sister, Susan Rimer (Johnny); grandchildren, Cory, Nathan, Dylan, Savannah, Kyle, Haden and 2 on the way, Ben and Emma. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard B. and Doris H. Jordan. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, Laura Marlowe and Jackie Steck and personal care giver, Barbara Harsey.
