HOPKINS – Funeral services for

Patricia Ann Jones Welch, 42, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Caughman-Harman West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the chapel prior to the service.

Mrs. Welch was known as “Trisha” to those who loved her. She was born December 5, 1969 in Richland County and died peacefully on October 18, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Owen and Evelyn Joann Jones.

“Trisha” was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Curtis DeWayne Welch, Sr.; son, Curtis DeWayne Welch, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Ann Jones; granddaughter, Alyssa Welch and grandson, Owen Robertson all of Hopkins; brothers, Daniel (Cindy) O. Jones, Jr. of Gaston, William (Kaye) R. Jones of Gaston, Ronald (Velma) Jones of Gaston; sisters, Gloria (Phillip) Watridge of West Columbia, Brenda (Johnny) Eason of Pelion, Linda (Tom) Fields of Inman, SC., also numerous nieces and nephews. Her family was the light of her life.

Mrs. Welch was predeceased by her parents Daniel Jones, Sr. and Evelyn Joanne Jones; sisters, Carolyn Ann Jones and Cheryl Joann Burden.

The family also wishes to thank all those who cared for Trisha through her battle and passing, especially the staff of Palmetto Hospice.
