She was born in Carbondale, IL, on February 4, 1986 to Patricia Dakin Jesse and Stephen J. Jesse. Morgan was a creative and lively spirit. She studied English at University and was an avid storywriter and reader. She loved all aspects of nature, and spent hours outdoors, photographing the most beautiful things encountered. She was also a Yoga devotee, and hoped to study and teach advanced yoga. She was known for her wit, humor and intelligence.
In Illinois, Morgan is survived by her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Achim Bank of Cambria; stepsister and husband, Nichole and Anthony Marx; stepsister, Kirsten Bank from Wauconda; grandparents, Joseph and Jodi Dakin of Springfield; aunt, Christine Dakin of Cambria; aunt and uncle Teresa and Tom Sauer of Murphysboro; cousins, Brian Sauer of Chicago and Bradley Sauer of Carbondale.
In South Carolina, she is survived by her father, Steve Jesse of Gaston; her beloved grandparents, John and Alice Jesse; aunt and uncle, Cheryl and Mark Abbott of Lexington and cousins, Olivia, Killian and Stephanie Abbott of Columbia, as well as her uncle and aunt, Joseph and Cindy Dakin of Irmo, SC. She is also survived by her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Olga Dakin and uncle, Les Higgins of Cambria, IL.
A memorial service will be held at Southland Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
Morgan supported women’s shelters and the Humane Society; contributions in her name are encouraged and appreciated. “Let your light shine in heaven, Morgan, so that we may find you again.”
