WEST COLUMBIA- Funeral services for Mary A. Kinney, 71, of West Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
Mrs. Kinney was born July 11, 1945 in Richland County and passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was a daughter of the late Edwin Earl Alewine and Margaret Howell Alewine. She was retired from the Shakespeare Mono Filament Company.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Ellisor (David) of West Columbia; granddaughter, Heather Ellisor and her fiancé, Jason Howell of West Columbia; brothers, Stephen Edwin Alewine (Tina) of Lexington, Lewis Alewine (Betty) of Lexington, Barney Alewine (Rosemary) of West Columbia; sisters, Betty Jean Sullivan of West Columbia, Elizabeth Hunt (Paul) of Cayce, Margaret Johnson (Thomas) of West Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles L. Kinney; daughter, Cynthia Kinney and brother, Edgar Alewine.
