Reverend Martha Taylor Knox (Nannie), 93, of West Columbia, SC passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Reverend John Edward and Lillie Alberta Taylor, Sr. She was pre-deceased in death by her husband, Lester E. Knox, Sr.; brother, John Edward Taylor, Jr.; sons, Lester Earl Knox, Jr. and John Michael Knox; grandson, John Toma Knox; and granddaughter, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Knox.
Surviving are her sister-in laws, Shirley Knox of Columbia, Martha Hucks of Charleston, and Macy Taylor of Leesville; her daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Scott Rymer of West Columbia; her grandchildren, April (Cory) Busbee of Gaston, Heather (Dustin) Fogle of Lexington, Sheila (Donny) Thompson of West Columbia, Jeremy Knox, Elizabeth Knox and Charlie Knox, all of Greer; numerous great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and many she “called” her sons and daughters.
Martha was a member of Ignite Fellowship Church and was retired from Southern Bell. She went on to receive her Minister’s License and ministered to families helping them in many different ways to all those who needed her. She was known for her beautiful smile, caring spirit, joyful laugh, and love for her family and friends.

Visitation and services for Martha will be held on Monday, February, 12, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. No graveside service will be held.
