LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Lloyd G. Williams, 88, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with entombment in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel in West Columbia.
Mr. Williams was born October 31, 1926 in Stuart VA and passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014. He was the son of the late Louis Gravley Williams and Hattie Martin Williams. He was a 22-year Veteran in the United States Army as a Green Beret in Korea and also served his country as a Drill Instructor at Fort Jackson. Mr. Williams also enjoyed a long career painting houses and loved to fish and hunt in his spare time.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Molly F. Williams; son, Steven L. Williams; grandson, Alex Williams and 3 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Alan Jay
