John Authur Singleton

John departed this world surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 27, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1967 in Columbia, SC. John was the beloved son of Emma Klbecka. John and his wife, Janet, were blessed with three children, John, Jr., Hunter, and Taylor.

A skilled tradesman & roofer, John’s talent and expertise were evident in the work he did; he found joy and satisfaction in his trade. When not working his craft, John could be found enjoying the outdoors, playing golf, and spending time with his loved ones.

John embodied the spirit of laughter and passion for life in all things he did. He found joy in bringing smiles to the faces of all.

John is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, John Singleton, Jr. and Hunter Singleton; daughter, Taylor Laughren (Richard); mother, Emma Klbecka; brother, Gary Singleton (Christina); three step-children, Stacy Austin (Wanda), Paul Austin, and Quentin Austin; and 11 grandchildren.

A celebration of life service for John will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home at Southland Memorial Gardens, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends and relatives at 2:00 pm, with services to follow at 3:00 pm.
