John was born in Hartford, Connecticut on January 3, 1954 and resided in Cayce, SC. He was retired from the Armed Services and the United States Postal Service.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Everitt and mother, Mary Velma Everitt of Enfield, Connecticut. He is survived by his caring wife, Beth Everitt of Cayce, SC; five children, Chad Everitt (Carrie) of Evans, GA, Jeremy Everitt of Columbia, SC, Aaron Everitt of Rotonda West, FL, Sean Deane of Enfield, CT and Samantha Smith of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Anastasia, Kasey, Jasmine, Jayla, Carter and Chloe; one great grandchild, Journee and a very special cousin, Mary Severns.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel at 820 West Dunbar Road.
