His greatest love was God, family, and gospel music. He could even slip in some Elvis impersonations. Jerry had a talent for singing. He sang in church at the age of 5 and said an elderly man slipped him $5. Jerry sang with Sabers Quartet, The Regals, The Singing Harvesters, The Nickelodeon Band, The Crusaders, and “Sonrise.” We will never forget our times with him while traveling with “Sonrise.” We worked through music and preaching to see souls saved. He wanted everyone to know Jesus.
We will miss his amazing voice, smile, laughter, preaching, dancing to “Didn’t it Rain,” our praying times, and our crying times he caused. This man was so loved by so many people. Thank you to all the churches that allowed “Sonrise” to come minister to your congregation.
The family of Jerry expresses their sincere thank you to all who have visited, called, prayed, and shared comforting words during this time of bereavement. He would have wanted to say “Love God, love your loved ones, and get your heart right with God. You don’t know when your last day is coming. Be ready.”
Thank you to our son, Jerry, for being his favorite baritone singer and Ivory Luke for being his favorite tenor singer. Thank you Jerry and Kris Baggott, Ivory Luke, Mike and Sue Howard. He cherished all of the Sonrise memories. Thank you Jim Boozer for being a great friend and for being our prayer warrior.
Thank you Bill Villella for being a great friend and brother. Thanks to all of our adopted daughters for feeding him cheeseburgers and crinkle cut fries without salt and making him laugh. He loved you all. Jerry Baggott you will be missed beyond measure.
