She was born in Orangeburg, SC, to the late Daniel Clifford Edwins and Lenora M. Edwins on September 6, 1925. Frances loved attending her church and being a substitute Sunday school teacher.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Paul Lloyd Stanley, Sr. and six brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Paul Stanley, Jr. (Judy) of Jacksonville, FL, Ann Boan (Richard) of Lexington, SC, Lenora McLeod (Arthur) of Lexington, SC, Barbara Dowd (Edwin) of Prosperity, SC, Shirley Collazo, of Columbia, SC, Debra Jarvis (Dale) of Blythewood, SC, and Robert Stanley of South Congaree, SC; twelve grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and one sister, Peggy Hudson, of Savannah, GA.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Palmetto Lane, Lexington Extended Care, for their excellent care and love they provided our mother during her extended illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to either Palmetto Lane LEC or the West Side Baptist Church Building Fund.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at West Side Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Rd., West Columbia, SC, with Rev. George Smith officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
