Donna was born in Columbia, SC on March 8, 1954 to Ervin J. Abbott and Patricia F. Abbott. She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Danny Dorn; her children, Michelle Whigham-King (Jay) and David “Bubba” Whigham Jr.; her grandchildren, Victoria King, Brooke Whigham (Eric), Elizabeth King, and David King; her sisters, Lynn Nyberg and Tammy Rains; brother, Randy Abbott (Wendy).
Donna loved her family and loved spending time with them. Donna loved traveling on cruise ships. She also loved going to the mountains. She was a huge Nascar fan. Her favorite Nascar driver was Jimmie Johnson.
Donna was a paralegal for over 25 years. She was a member of the Palmetto Paralegal Association for many years. From 2014-2017 Donna was a board member of the Palmetto Paralegal Association. In 2016, Donna was named “The Palmetto Paralegal Association’s Paralegal of the Year”.
Donna will be missed by all of those that knew and loved her.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 12:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour and a half prior from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
