Daniel Heyward Spires

He served in the National Guard for 7 years. His true passion was his career driving an eighteen-wheeler at Overnight for over 27 years. He was an avid collector of model cars among many other things! Daniel lived a Christian life with family being his highest priority. He was a devoted husband for over 67 years.

Daniel is survived by his loving spouse, Rose Spires; his children, Sharon Hammond, Terry (Peggy) Spires; grandchildren, Bridget (Jay) Frank, Belinda (Michael) Kelly, Travis Harmon, Tracy (Hampton) Parler, Delany Swygert, Tucker Spires, Ryan Spires, Shyann Spires; great grandchildren, Taylor Kelly, Tyler Frank, Dawton (Cheyanne) Frank, Peyton Rodriguez, Connor Rodriguez, Eleanor Parler, Chelsea Spires, Cayden Harmon, Liam Harmon; great great grandchildren, Carson Seibert, May Frank.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Swygert.

The family will receive friends at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel on Thursday December 8, 2022, at 10:00 AM with funeral services following at 11:00 AM.
