Virginia “Jenny” Lee Williams (Line), age 92, returned to her heavenly home on May 28, 2016 after a long and faithful life. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her final struggles which continually gave her peace.
Virginia was born at home in the Ivanhoe/Venice Hill area to the late Walter and Alice Line, orange ranchers in the same area. Virginia attended Ivanhoe School and graduated from Visalia (Redwood) High School in 1941. She was a hair dresser in her first few years of marriage and then was a homemaker. Virginia was immersed in the Christian community of both the Ivanhoe and the Visalia Presbyterian churches. She was a Sunday school teacher and led many Bible Studies, including two studies in her Mobile Home park at the age of 90. She encouraged many to explore the beauty of the gospels.
Virginia was blessed with a large and loving family. She married the love of her life Joel Benton Williams in 1942. She raised four children with patience, discipline and humility. She was involved with the Ivanhoe PTA and was consistently involved with Church activities. She had a wonderful soprano voice and used it to the Glory of God.

Jeff Weyer, Frank Williams (Lisa), Dr. Stephen Williams, Michel Jon Lambert (Erica), Nathan Lambert (La), Mathew Benton (Michael), Jeremy Williams and JB. Williams. She was blessed with 19 Great Grandchildren, and a Great Great Grandchild plus many nieces and nephews. Everyone knew her as either “Aunt Jenny or Grandma Jenny”, related or not. Virginia was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart.
