Sue Smith of Visalia passed away on June 1, 2012 after a long illness. Born on August 11, 1942 to Lula Belle Dugan in Morenci Arizona and moved to Visalia California in 1947. She attended Mt. Whitney High School where she met her future Husband of 42 years Murrell Smith while he attended Redwood High School, and they married in 1961. After spending years in Inglewood, Goleta, Bakersfield and Ventura working in the medical profession she retired and returned to Visalia in 2000. She and Murrell enjoyed traveling in their RV to places throughout the U.S. where they enjoyed gambling at Las Vegas, Laughlin and Indian casinos.
She is survived by her sister and brother in-law Carol and Richard Thompson of Visalia: Sons and their wives Bradley and Maria Smith of Palmdale, Matthew and Cynthia Smith of Palmdale, Russell and Michele Smith of Camarillo: Grandchildren Angie and her husband Louie Ordonez, Jessica, Travis and Troy Smith: Her Husband Murrell Smith, Mother Lula Belle Dugan and Nephews Kenney and Ricky Farnsworth and her loving dog Beau preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 2-7pm on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Miller Memorial Chapel Visalia. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Visalia Cemetery.
