Rosalinda Torres was born June 1,1950 in Big Springs, Texas to Manuel and Ofelia Perez. At the age of six years old, Rosalinda's family moved to Visalia, California. Eventually, Rosie would go on to meet the love of her life (Joe Torres) during the summer of 1965 as they picked fruit in the fields. Rosie and Joe would travel the journey of love together and go on to have six children.
Rosie devoted twenty-two years of service within the Visalia Unified School District, serving the communities of Visalia, Goshen and eventually finishing off her stellar years of service at Ivanhoe, where she would retire from. Retirement did not slow Rosalinda down. Instead, you would find her staying busy with her thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren attending their sporting events, recitals, and family trips. Rosalinda went home to be with her heavenly father on September 28, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Ofelia Perez, brother Elison Perez and brother in-law Julian Dominguez.
She is survived by husband Joe Torres of fifty-five years, daughters Chrissy Garner, Michelle Cortez (Frank), Ophelia Felix (Alex), sons Joe Torres (Ashley), Jonathan Torres (Marianne), Joshua Torres (Mackenzie), thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In honor of Rosalinda Torres a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Radiant Church 515 E. Center Ave. beginning at 3:00pm
