An inveterate storyteller, he will be remembered by many for sitting in the backyard talking about farming, teaching, traveling, fish ponds, aviaries, and plantations.
A man of many and varied interests he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Laurie D; his son, David with wife, Maya, grandsons, Noah and Michael of Israel; and son, Andrew, and grandchildren, Matt and Annie of Visalia.
His stories and his hugs will be missed by many shocked friends and family.
Graveside burial will be at 9:45 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Exeter Public Cemetery, 719 E Marinette Ave, Exeter, CA 93221. Stories and food will follow at 11:30 am at Congregation B’nai David, 1039 Chinowth St, Visalia, CA 93277.
