Patricia Elisa Given

Pat was born in Los Angeles, California on January 22, 1927 to Rush Irvin and Louise C. Waters. She was raised and educated in Los Angeles, California. Pat married Jesse Given in 1947 and they made their home in the Los Angeles area, until moving to Porterville in 1969. She was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint. Pat worked for over eighteen years at the Porterville Shelter Workshop, as an Instructional Aide. After that, she enjoyed being at home and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, and was an avid reader.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jesse Given in 1997 and her daughter, Linda Given in 1998.

Pat leaves to cherish her memory, three children; Chris Given and wife Sandy of Nampa, Idaho; Jesse Given and wife Debbie of Loveland, CO; and daughter, April Tolson of Porterville, CA. Seven grandchildren, Chad and wife Kristen, Jason and wife Stacie, Elisa, Emily and husband David, Zachary, Chelsea and Timothy. Six great grandchildren, Allison, Tylie, Bryn, Spencer, Beau and Tyler and many friends and extended family.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Porterville District Cemetery, 1013 E. Olive Ave in Porterville, CA.
