For many years my sister, Karleen Byrd, worked as a beautician and did Norma's hair.  She always had such high regard for Norma and considered her a good friend. Since I was a librarian at Fresno City College and Norma worked for Clovis Unified I knew Norma and her work with the Fresno Area Library Council. We were friends for many years. I also took walks from City College down to the Tower District where Don cut my hair each month at his barbershop.  It was a pleasure to talk with him and to keep up with the news of his family. Norma and Don were a wonderful couple.  After retiring and moving to Folsom in 2007 I was not able to keep up with them, however I treasure the many good memories of them through the years.  I will miss Norma and I extend my deepest sympathies to the family.  May the Good Lord comfort you all as you adjust to your loss.
