Michael Kelly Burr

Michael was born with his twin brother Patrick in Bakersfield CA. At the age of 6 weeks they were adopted by Charles and Richie Burr joining their sister Robbin and becoming a family. The twins had a special bond and spoke a language (twin talk) between them that no one else understood but them. And being identical it was hard to tell them apart, even mom and dad, but not me.

They were always getting into mischief. Being identical twins, they were often dressed alike. But at 5 years old starting kindergarten at Mt. View, Patrick dressed in red and Michael in blue, they changed shirts to confuse the teachers. It was quite a while before the teachers and mom and dad caught on.

27 years ago Michael was diagnosed with MS. It was a long and difficult journey affecting his physical abilities but never his mind and spirit. His memory and sense of humor never wavered.

We will be forever grateful to Micah for her love and compassion as one of his caregivers. Together with her and family and sheer strength and will it allowed Michael to live his life. She was with him until the end as he entered his eternal life.

We must go on, he may not be with us in the physical world but he will always be in our hearts.

He is now at peace and most likely walking and running freely with mom, dad, Nonie, grandpa, nephew Landen and other friends and relatives.

So he will be waiting in heaven for his brother Patrick, sister Robbin (David) Reid, daughters Brandy (Aaron) Blake, Michel (John) Vargas, sons Justin (Rulynn) Burr, and Jordan Burr. Grandchildren Jordyn Pendola, River Young, Sage, Maddox and Asha Vargas, and Ryker, Seanix and Paisley Burr and 1 soon to be great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to be held Friday, June 14, 2024 9 am, Visalia Public Cemetery. Celebration of life to be held at a later date
