Mary V. Medlock

Mary was born in Drixy, Missouri on September 13, 1928 to George Thomas Walker and Gladys Julia Mae Brown Walker. She was raised and educated in Ava, Missouri. She married Herald Reign Medlock in 1947 and they celebrated 53 years of marriage. They moved to Visalia in 1955 to make their home and raise their children. Mary was a longtime member of South Valley Church of Christ. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and raising her beautiful flowers and crocheting. She most enjoyed times spent with her children and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys, her brother Edward Walker, her sister Bonnie Lane and by her husband, Herald in 2000.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Ray Medlock and wife Karen of Jackson, CA, Julia Sanders and husband, James of Tulare, CA, Charlotte de Jesus of Bakersfield, CA, Ron Medlock and wife, Anne of Visalia, CA and Debbie Wadsworth of Exeter, CA; her brother Pat Walker and wife Barbara of Ozark, MO; two sisters, Emma Byerlee of Seymour, MO and Lois Sumruld and husband R.L. of Exeter, CA; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Visalia Public Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA.
