On Friday, July 15, 2022, Maria Jesus Rivas “Chuy”, loving mother of seven, and grandmother of eighteen, took our Lord’s hand at the age of 77. Maria was born on March 25, 1945, in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico. Her parents were Calixtra Correa and Florencio Uribe.

On January 28, 1968, Maria “Chuy” married the love of her life, Tranquilino Rivas. They raised seven children, Ramon, Maribel, Juan, Lupe, Luis, Gabriel, and Diana.

Maria “Chuy” Rivas was preceded in death by her mother, father, and nine siblings. She is survived by her sister Esperanza and two brothers, seven children, and eighteen grandchildren.
