It is with profound sadness that the family of Leonarda Acosta Romero announces her passing on early Monday morning, November 6, 2024. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 1, 1940 to Pedro and Hermenejilda Acosta from Chihuahua, Mexico. Leonarda will be lovingly remembered as a mother to Manuel Acosta, also as a sister, aunt, and friend.
Leonarda was a single parent and reared her only son from home and was a housekeeper and homemaker. She was a hard worker and took care of me to the best of her abilities. She gave me love, comfort, safety, and unconditional love. I will remember my mother as always being loving to me throughout the years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Her garden was always filled with beautiful plants and flowers. She was a Christian and enjoyed attending church. I will miss her dearly, no one can replace my beautiful mother. She wants us to pray for her peace and comfort.
Leonarda is survived by her son: Victor Manuel Acosta, sister Flora Sanchez from Los Angeles. Leonarda will be joining in heaven her parents, Pedro and Hermenejilda Acosta, sisters; Paulita Acosta, Nena Horcasistas, Petra Sanchez, Norberta Marquez, and Rosie Acosta Eggleston, brothers; Hilario, Martin and Bernabe Acosta.
