He served America during World War II as an Aircraft Gunner. Kenny worked for Knudsen Creamery for 36 years, retiring in 1975.
He enjoyed many years at the golf course and over his life had 12 holes in one! He shot his age at 74, and was still golfing Monday through Friday during his 90’s. Kenny was able to shoot in the low 80’s through his 90’s and danced five nights a week until he became too ill to continue.
Kenny is survived by his daughter, Dynell Rocha and husband John; grandson Brett Rocha and wife Norma; granddaughter, Brandy Wilson and husband Steve; three great grandchildren, Brittini Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO, Brice Rocha and Bethany Wilson of Visalia; one brother, Ward Officer of Queen Valley, AZ and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Kenny was dearly loved by his family and many friends and will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents LP and Juanita Officer; his wife of sixty eight years, Laurel; his daughter Gayle Silva Lucas; four brothers and 1 sister.
Kenny was a bowler and a ski boater in his younger years and he and Laurel enjoyed touring the country in their 5th wheel after retiring. He was an early riser and would go to the gym for a workout and then to the golf course for a couple of hours of cards before teeing off.
We want to thank the staff at Casa Grande and Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care towards his end of life.
Ken’s Celebration of Life will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11 a.m.
