"Dad, you always  stood strong in what you believed  in.  You have a strength of character that gives me courage. Your wit and likeable personality touched everyone. You were always there for your family.

The movie star Shannon Doherty's father passed away before her wedding.
A group of dragonflies were present during her wedding and one lighted on her shoulder during the wedding and then left. A dragonfly is a sign someone has passed on. She felt as though her father were present during her wedding. 

There was also a dragon fly present outside of your memorial service. I remember the pastor talking of honoring your life. You will always be a part of us.

We have a lifetime of only good memories and experiences.

Dear Evelyn - The thing I remember most about Ken was his broad smile - it seemed to cover his face from ear to ear!  He was a beautiful person, Evelyn, and the service was beautiful.  I ache for you, because I know how deep the pain is.  The joy is in knowing where Ken is, but the pain in the gut is still there...

grandpa... when I think of you first thing that comes to mind is 'real man' defined by me as strength that others see, determination that can't be mathced,
the ability show unconditional love without saying the words I love you.  I remember staying at your house when I was younger first thing I would do is get a chocolate milk, and then after playing the birds all night going to McDonalds for breakfast.  I bought my first quad on a weeknight and I wanted to ride so bad but didnt have enough time to take it out somewhere my dad and I brought it to your house and you watched me ride I was so excited that I got to ride that day.  I am priveledged to be your grandson you have taught me many life goals that I know will help to me to be sucessesful in life and family; hard work, determination, the ability to keep fighting for what you believe in, and knowing that I can do anything that I put my heart into. Thankyou grandpa I love you and miss you.

Dad...my chilhood memories
Back of pickup with Nesbitt soda, dad pouring his bag of peanuts in his regular Pepsi headed to the lake, playing basketball my sophmore year looking into the stands and seeing maybe 3 or 4 parents and dad you were always one of them, going to coin club once a month sorting through 1000's of pennies to find the ones that you needed, shelling walnuts for hours, packing your Dorado cigs to save money in your rolled up jeans, smell of gas co locker room when mom would send me in to get you, trips to the desert with Johnston family, always having time and holidays with relatives. The last five days were awesome with you, the last day was me letting you go. Forever loving you...your son, Bobby

Dear Dad Coburn,
The years have flown by so quickly. The memories of you will live on in my heart. You were a wonderful father-in-law to me, always kind and a loving grandpa.
