Born July 8, 1928 in Lindsay, California to Edgar and Agnes Coburn. Ken passed away quietly at home surrounded by his loving family on April 5, 2012 at the age of 83.
Ken was an accomplished boxer and fought in the Golden Glove boxing tournament. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and also boxed during this time. He had a lengthy career with the California Gas Company and retired after 34 1/2 years. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, raising parakeets and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Evelyn Coburn, daughters Nancy Bernard and Debbie Coburn and son Bobby (Deana) Coburn, six grandchildren Gabriel, Samuel and Brian Bernard, Melissa (Kile) Taylor, Jillian (Sean) Taylor, Gerad (Suzy) Coburn and six great grandchildren, Kaia, Liam and Charlie Taylor and Jacob, Olivia, and Willow Coburn.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Ray, Harold, and Edward Coburn and his mother Agnes and father Edgar.
