Kathleen Quinn Chester

After a courageous battle with cancer, Kathleen Chester, age 94, of Visalia, California passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Orris T. Chester.

Kathleen spent her life as a devoted wife and homemaker. She was also a long-time member of Saint Mary’s Altar & Rosary Society and the Visalia Woman’s Civic Club. Kathleen was spunky and witty, with a spirited sense of humor. She had a heart full of love and a very positive outlook on life. Her Catholic faith gave her a deep assurance of her heavenly home. We are blessed to have been her family. We will miss her.

She is survived by her niece Dixieanna Girard, grandnephew Frank Girard, grandnieces Julia Dzwoniarek and Mariana Leberknight, and nine great-grandnieces and nephews.

Visitation and a Rosary Service will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel (1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia) on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, with visitation from 5 to 8 pm and the Rosary Service at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 608 N. Church St., Visalia at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015.
