Mr. John (Jack) Thomas Elledge passed away on Father's Day, Sunday June 20th, 2010, at home with his loved ones at the age of 74. Jack was born on the 21st of July,1935, to parents Russell and Emily Elledge in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Loveland High School, and attended the University of Cincinnati before serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married the love of his life, Ann McGuire, in 1962. Jack was a lifelong member of the Oakley Masonic Lodge in Cincinnati, even after relocating to Visalia in 1977-where he remained a resident for 33 years. Jack worked for Liberty Cherry, Dean Foods, Lindsay Olives, and most recently as a consultant for the California Milk Advisory Board.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jack is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Ann; 2 daughters, Mindy Raymond (spouse David Raymond) of Visalia; Kim Borba (spouse Mark Borba) of Visalia; 1 son, Christopher Elledge (spouse Laurel Hoehn) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Russell Elledge (spouse Pat Gould) of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Jean Rumke (spouse Robert Rumke, deceased) of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is preceded in death by a sister, Joan Bennington (spouse Jack Bennington, deceased) of Loveland, Ohio.
Services will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 25th, at 11:30 a.m. Friends and Family are invited to pay personal respects to Jack at the viewing on Thursday, June 24th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Details on reception following the interment at Visalia Public Cemetery will be available at Miller's on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. "Dad would have liked that."
