Jessie E. Gomez, who loved her lord, passed away on February 10, 2024 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jessie was born in Morgan Hill, California on May 14, 1936 to Guadalupe Lopez and Carmen Gallegos. Her family later moved to Visalia, California where she met and married John F. Gomez on June 14, 1952. She worked at American General Finance in Visalia, until she retired in 1998. Never one to have idle hands, she went on to sell real estate and Mary Kay in her remaining years. One of her special accomplishments was getting her GED at the age of 76. That was a truly special moment for her entire family. So proud of you momma!
Jessie is a testament of what a beautiful and classy woman is and was always a true beauty inside and out. She dearly loved her family and special friends. Her happiest moments were creating cherished memories with her loved ones. She will live on in the traditions she passed down, whether it was making tortillas with her grandchildren or planning a beautiful holiday party for all of her family to enjoy. Her spirit will continue to inspire us to live with purpose, compassion and gratitude each and every day.

Jessie is survived by her 4 children Shirley Brueggemann (Jeff, Husband), Diane Stie, Eric Gomez (Lucy, Wife) and Michelle R Gomez and Mother, Carmen Gallegos age 106, as well as her sister, Martha Amancio, Brothers Roy Martinez (Becky, Wife), Ray Martinez, and younger sister Lydia Garza (Abel, Husband). Jessie also leaves behind her Brother-in-Law Joe Carrasco (Eva, Wife) and Tito Gonzalez (Rosa, Wife) and 6 very special grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Jessie will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA 93291. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 1120 West Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA 93291. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Mary Catholic Church, 608 N Church Street, Visalia, CA 93291.
