He was born in Pineville, Louisiana on November 25, 1932 to his father Colonel Edgar H. Boren and mother Gertrude, a professional golfer.
He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 as part of the 82nd airborne.
Ed was married to Rosemarie in Mission Viejo, California in October 1983; they celebrated 40 years of marriage together. He enjoyed meeting with fellow VA friends, going fishing, boating, going to the gun range and reading the newspaper with his morning coffee.
Ed is survived by his wife Rosemarie Boren, his son Mark Levy (Susie), his daughter Michelle Hilliard (Robert “Ryan”). Seven grandchildren, Joseph Peterson (Kimberly), Samantha Leyva (Andrew), Austin Peterson (Kiyerra), Stephen Peterson (Ashleigh), Christopher Levy (Chloe), Sean Levy and Sierra Levy (Armando). Eight great grandchildren he thoroughly enjoyed; Decker-5, Katella-5, August-4, Jasper-3, Luna-3, McKinnley-3, Oliver-6 months and newborn baby Arlo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
