Glenna Walker Thompson, at the age of 90, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2015 in Visalia, California. Her will to live was fueled by her love of family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, doll making, crocheting and reading. Glenna made children’s clothing and donated the items to various charities.
Born December 1, 1924 in Nogo, Arkansas, she lived in several states, but mainly in Arkansas and California. Her work was varied but included car sales and CTS in Arkansas prior to retiring in California to be close to family.
Glenna was preceded in death by her true love, Johnny Thompson; mother and father, Arthur and Dottie Walker of Bentonville, AR; sisters, Dorothy, Bonnie and Mary and her brother Doyle.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Pruitt and his wife, Myrna; daughter Sue Spratley and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Jeff Wilson, Kari Gilbert, Kelly Underwood, Kim Sanchez, Jo-Jo Adamson, Chris Spratley, Eric Spratley and Lindsey Creech. She leaves behind 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Reba and Shirley and brothers Connie and Onnie.
Glenna will be laid to rest at the Visalia District Cemetery on Thursday, May 7, 2015 during a private service.
