Glen Lewis Havens, known to many as “Pops” was born November 20th, 1958 in Falmouth, Massachusetts on the Otis Air Force Base. He passed away suddenly on November 10th, 2022 in Visalia, CA. at the age of 63. He was the son of Leonard Havens and Patricia Tomlinson. The family then moved to Avenal, California in 1959. After the passing of Glen's father in 1964 his mother along with his 2 brothers moved to Visalia, where she met and married Gene Tomlinson, whom raised the boys as his own. In 1969, the family relocated to Grants Pass, OR where Glen graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1976. After high school Glen enlisted and served in the US Army from 1979 to 1981. After an honorable discharge from the service and a brief trip home to Oregon, Glen decided to settle in Visalia to be near his cousins. He then met and married Rita and took on the father role to her two daughters Charice and Tami. Glen and Rita welcomed their daughter Savannah in 1985 followed by their son Kyle in 1988. They established their home on Magnolia Court and over the years Glen became "Pops" to many of his children's friends, as well as his grandchildren Brady, Marissa and Jace. He worked at Self Help Enterprises and the Visalia Unified School District. In addition to his employment, he worked numerous side jobs for many people as he was skilled in general construction and handyman work. He is survived by his children Savannah and Kyle Havens, stepdaughters Charice and Tami Rehfeld, grandchildren Brady, Marissa and Jace, parents Gene and Patricia Tomlinson, younger brother Wayne Havens, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. If you knew Glen, you knew his signature look was his bandana "do-rag" he always wore, which we will all wear in his honor.
