George followed his brother Jim’s footsteps into the Navy, serving his country for 22 years and retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. He met the love of his life and best friend while stationed at a Naval base in Linda’s home state of California. Upon retirement from his Naval career George went to work for Westinghouse, which became Cutler-Hammer, until he retired 23 years later.
George retired from the Navy in Hawaii, where he was an active volunteer in the theatre community. He acted, he worked backstage and front of house, he attended shows to support his family and friends.
After he retired from Cutler-Hammer he and Linda moved to her hometown in Visalia, CA where he taught at The Creative Center part-time until retiring for good.
George was raised in a loving family and in turn raised a family with love. He knew how to love and be loved. He was predeceased by his loving wife by five years. George is survived by his brother Jim, his son James and daughter-in-law Sonya, daughter Holly, nephews, nieces and cousins.
