Deanna was born to her loving and devoted parents, John Shouse and Pauline (Cole) Shouse in San Diego, California on January 13, 1942. Less than two years later she gained a sister, Patricia Ann. All of whom she loved very much.
She is survived by her 2 nieces, Misty and Mona, who called her Nanny; “Brother" Ronnie; 6 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 3 great-great-nephews. She is also loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins on the Cole and Shouse sides of her family who she loved dearly. She also had many friends in her lifetime that she loved as well.
Deanna had a heart of gold and loved listening to music, going shopping, bowling, and winning money on the slots. She loved to sing, and her favorites were “Moon River,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “The Star Spangled Banner.” Deanna also loved watching her favorite television programs: The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, and The Lawrence Welk Show. She absolutely loved visiting family – especially going to the Shouse and Cole Family Reunions in Missouri with her Mother, Daddy, and Sister.
In her later years, Deanna lived in a very loving and caring group home in Montclair, California with John and Cathy along with some dear friends for 21 years, whom she loved very much, and knew she was very loved. Her favorite things to do were going to work at the workshop and shopping. She loved to laugh and make other people laugh. Deanna could never pass up the opportunity to hold a sweet baby or eat olives off of her fingers.
Thank you, Nanny, for the pure joy, love, and laughter you brought to everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving you. You are so very loved and will be greatly missed.
Deanna's final resting place will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
