Cecil Oral Harmon passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 in Visalia, CA at the age of 93. Cecil was born in Fair Play, Missouri on April 12, 1919. He and his family moved to California during the Dustbowl at age 16. Cecil loved tinkering on cars, He and his father Everett established Harmon’s Auto Wrecking, Cecil was the owner and operator till 1983. He spent many hours making his living at what he loved to do.
A child of the depression era, Cecil knew the value of a dollar, and was careful not to waste a dime. He did not believe in borrowing money, but would generously loan it to others in need. At the age 20, Cecil married Mildred Butts; they were married for 63 years until she passed away in 2002.
Cecil is survived by his daughters, Beverly Fraser and her companion Jerry Hintz of Visalia, CA, Carol and husband Mike Larion of Mesa AZ. Grandchildren, Kari (Lee) and husband Mike Josephson of Bakersfield, CA, Shari and husband Bob Williams of Visalia, CA, Robert J. Lee and wife Valerie of Visalia, CA, and Andrea Larion of Mesa, AZ. Great-grandchildren, Lauren and Mallory Moore; McKenzie and Katie Williams; Mathew, Danielle, and Brandon Lee; Jenna, James, John, and Katie Josephson; and Great- great grandchildren Joshua, Landon, and Owen
Cecil often remarked on how proud he was of his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:00am at the Visalia Cemetery.
