It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Blake Anthony Pecego, a vibrant and spirited young soul, on August 18, 2023. Blake's journey began on June 27, 2004, and though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will forever remain.
Blake's enthusiasm for life was evident in his love for riding motorcycles. The thrill of the dirt road matched his adventurous spirit perfectly, and the wind in his hair was a reflection of his free and unbounded nature. His passion for this exhilarating hobby brought joy not only to him but also to those fortunate enough to witness his excitement.
Beyond his passion for motorcycles, Blake was a dedicated athlete who approached every challenge with determination and a strong work ethic. His motivation was infectious, inspiring others to push beyond their limits and strive for excellence. Whether on the field, court, or track, Blake's presence was a driving force that encouraged teamwork and camaraderie.
Yet, it wasn't just his athletic prowess that set Blake apart; it was his kind and gentle demeanor that truly touched the hearts of all who knew him. With his smile and warm hug to those he loved, his sweet soul radiate warmth and compassion, making him a friend to everyone he encountered. Blake's ability to empathize and connect with others showcased his genuine and caring nature, leaving a lasting impression on those lucky enough to have shared moments with him.
Blake Anthony Pecego will forever be remembered as a young man who embraced life with passion, determination, and a heart full of love. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the beautiful memories and lessons he leaves behind. Blake's spirit will live on through the stories we share and the lives he has touched, reminding us all to live boldly, love deeply, and cherish every precious moment.
Blake is survived by his Mother Lisa Steelman and stepfather Josh Steelman, siblings Chloe Steelman, Joshua Steelman Jr, Tyler Steelman, Jonathan Steelman, father Gilbert Pecego and stepmother Nikki Moore, siblings Brenden and Tori Pecego, Leila Mendiola, Raegan Mendiola, Girlfriend Natalie Jimenez, Loving Grandparents Sandy and Don Arsenault, Billy and Kaylyn Murch, Karen McPhetridge, Vielmina Pecego, Jeff and Michele Moore, Aunts and Uncles near and far, many cousins and many friends. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Serving as pallbearers are Josh Steelman, Jonathan Steelman, Tyler Steelman, Brenden Pecego, Chandler Silva, Gilbert Pecego and Billy Murch.
A visitation for Blake will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:30 AM, at Miller Memorial Chapel followed by interment at 1:30 PM at North Tulare Cemetery, 4572 J Street, Tulare, California 93274; followed by a memorial reception at TDES Hall in Tulare.
