Billie Olean Hovsepian was born on February 29, 1932 in Okemah, Oklahoma, and passed away on August 21, 2016 at her home in Visalia, California. One of three daughters to Floyd and Elsie Leeth, Billie and her family moved to California during the Dust Bowl, and lived in the Linell Farm Labor Camp in Farmersville during those years. She married George “Jack” Hovsepian in 1950, and they lived a life of adventure while raising their three sons, until his death in 1981.
Billie is survived by her 30-year partner, Richard Halliwill of Visalia, California, her three sons Mitchell Hovsepian (Leticia) of Visalia, Calif., Michael Hovsepian (Leslie) of San Diego, Calif., Jeffrey Hovsepian of Las Vegas, Nev., her sister, Ruth Keeling of Exeter, Calif., seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Visalia Public Cemetery Pavilion, 1300 W. Goshen Ave. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
