Barbara "Jeannie" Munsey

Barbara “Jeannie” Munsey (10/17/1946 – 10/25/2015) headed home to the Lord on October 25th surrounded by love from family and the thoughts and prayers of many. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma and friend whose positive attitude and shining spirit touched many lives. Jeannie was a courageous woman who never had a bad day and always focused on the positive. She had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. Much of her life was spent celebrating all that God had blessed her with. Jeannie loved her family with all her heart and this love was surpassed only by her love for Jesus Christ.

Jeannie was born in Madera, but grew up in Bakersfield. She spent most of her adult life in Visalia raising her two daughters. After raising her daughters she met and married Gary Munsey where they enjoyed time with family and traveling in their RV. While the last few years were a challenge she always knew Gods love for her and continued to thank him for her wonderful life.

Jeannie is survived by her loving husband Gary Munsey, daughters Kelli Larson & Kim Ferguson, son in-law Mark Ferguson, grandchildren Dylan, Paige, Hayley & Wyatt. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers in-law Carolyn & Roger Mueller and Sharon & Jim Waters, step-family Tami Munsey, Tim Munsey and their families plus many nieces, nephew, aunt, cousins, friends and her beloved service dog Brooser.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Gateway Church in Visalia at Saturday November 7th at 10:30 am.
