Uncle Art Garcia was born to Guadalupe and Izequiel Garcia in the middle of three sisters and five brothers. He was born in Pomona, California. Art went to meet the Lord on March 3, 2022 in Visalia, California. He lived most of his life in and around Visalia. Like many of his generation and most of his brothers, Art enlisted in the military upon adulthood. He joined the Army in 1943 and served as a medic in WWII. After his service time, Art worked 35 years as an accountant for Nash de Camp.
Art had a rich life with his beloved wife, Concha, who predeceased him in 2003. Their 48 years of marriage were filled with travel, visits from friends and family and involvement in their community. Art leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who remember his and Aunt Concha’s hospitality, generosity and counsel and especially the family gatherings at their beautiful home.
