Anita Igou Lupercio

She is preceded in death by her mother Consuelo Rodriguez Igou.

She is survived by her loving husband Maximiliano Lupercio and children Adam Barriga, Diana Barriga, Graciela Garcia and Sonja Lupercio. She was also extremely proud of her grandchildren Christian Barriga, Savannah Flores, Nathaniel Barriga, Evianna Barriga, Soleil Salinas, Roman Garcia and Greyson Garcia. She was also fortunate to have met her first great-grandson Jamie Flores.

Mom never met a stranger. She had the gift of gab and enjoyed everyone’s company as they did hers. She was a regular at Starbucks, loved I love Lucy and had a sweet tooth for See’s candy. She was also very fond of her cats had a great sense of humor. She would always making us laugh, especially when we would catch her sneaking to take candid pictures of us at gatherings.

Her life journey was not an easy one, she overcame many obstacles and managed to raise four children while mostly being a homemaker. But being a stay at home mom wasn’t enough, she decided to go back to school and attended College of the Sequoias in 2007. After COS, she attended Fresno Pacific University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development in 2010.

In 2014 she fought bravely and defeated a bout with breast cancer, but that didn’t stop her. The emotional and physical struggles and pain that she endured only fortified her passion for life and care for others. She managed to remain, and will always remain a bright, positive, loving, friendly person who impacted us all with her kindness and huge personality.

She will always be remembered by being a part of all of us forever.

A visitation for Anita will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA 93291. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N. Teilman Avenue, Fresno, CA 93706.
