Alice Elizabeth Lujan Fesperman went to be with the Lord on Friday December 2, 2022. She passed peacefully at her home in Elderwood CA. Alice was born in Visalia, California on August 13th 1937. She was born to John and Antonia Lujan. She had 4 siblings: Shirley Vasquez (husband Rudy), Esther Akan (husband John), Laurie Barkley (husband Jerry) and John Lujan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Lee Fesperman, who passed away in 1993. They raised two sons, Steve (wife Lisa) and Ken (wife Debra) on their small ranch in Woodlake. She had four grandchildren, Madison Lasswell of Woodlake (husband Barret), Zack Fesperman of Woodlake, Danielle Fesperman of Visalia, Tobin Fesperman of Visalia and one great grandchild Sedona, born to Madison and Barret Lasswell who were all very special to her. Alice attended Mt. Whitney high school and COS before she moved to San Jose where she met and married Gene. They lived in San Jose for 13 years, traveling the world with friends. After their sons were born, they returned to the Central Valley. Alice began working as an assistant with Dr. Franklin. After several years in the medical field, she began working at Woodlake High School and then became the office supervisor at Woodlake Valley Middle School. During this time, Alice advised, counseled, and mentored many youth of the Woodlake community. She built long lasting relationships with students and faculty and left lifelong impressions with every person she encountered. Alice’s passion and zest for life was exemplified in everything she did. She loved serving her family, friends, community and the Lord. She devoted much of her time to Woodlake Kiwanis, Woodlake Foundation, her sorority sisters, and her church community. She never turned down an opportunity to be the “greeter” at events and her beautiful smile and warm hugs made her the perfect “greeter.” She also never said ‘no’ to a lunch or dinner invite with her many, many friends, all of whom can attest to the fact that Alice was the most caring, beautiful soul we were all so lucky to know. She made the best pies around and any time she asked someone how she could repay them- the answer was always make me a pie! Alice will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
