Alex was born in Plainview , TX on May 24, 1964 to Trinidad Picasso and Rosa De Lima Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Lucia; sons, Santos, Gabriel, Nicholas, and Alex Jr.; daughters, Nicole, Serena, and Rosie. Alex is also survived by his mother, Rosa; and 15 of his 17 siblings, sisters, Janie, Beatriz, Paula, Debbie, Rebecca, Sylvia, and Elda; brothers, Joe, Luis, Fernando, Steve, Alfredo, Ernest, Benny, and Gary. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia and Mary; as well as his father, Trinidad.
Alex supported his family by being a construction worker and private contractor. His talent for art is evident through his history of custom tile settings and various jobs throughout the community.
Alex loved being a jokester, making his loved ones laugh and speaking the word of God. He made sure to spread generosity and kindness throughout the community and could often be found playing basketball within the neighborhood or attending his children's football and soccer games. Through his love of playing sports, Alex also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play football. In addition to his love of the word of God and sports, Alex also had a deep love of music and was a true patriot though and through, evident by the American bandana he would often be found wearing.
Alex will be remembered through the memories and laughs he gave to all who knew him, and through the everlasting lessons of forgiveness, understanding and compassion.
A visitation for Alex will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA 93291, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
