I came to the service today and was sad that I wasn't able to see you and offer my condolences in person.
The service was so moving and it was easy to see how much your father was loved by the beautiful tributes from his wonderful grandchildren.

I was saddened to learn of Bill’s passing.  During my 36 plus years at the Builders & Contractors Exchange I had the privilege of working with Bill, Dot, Doug, David, Darryl, Dianne, and other family members. Bill and family always went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. Over the years the Star family went from business associates to friends as well.  Bill was a great guy who will be missed my many.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.

I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing, and send up prayers for everyone in your very special family. It seems like yesterday I was swimming in your pool as a teenager and going to Sunday School with the "Duggan kids." I have been blessed by knowing all of you, and send my condolences on the loss of your dear father and husband.

It's very difficult losing the ones we love. May your family take comfort in this bible text; Ecclesiastes 9:5.

Dear Lillian and Family, I was so sorry to hear about Billy's passing. When I look back at my life, I think of all the people at Triniy that had such a tremendous influence.  Donny and Edna, Jean Rae and Donald, the Pierces, the Kirbys, etc.  You and Billy were part of my life too.  I truly feel that it was the wonderful Christian influence  of so many of you that has molded my life today. To my friend, Dianne.  I was sorry to hear of your father's failing health and his death.  You all are blessed with a loving family, and what a great comfort that will be.  Your much loved father may be gone from your midst, but never from your memories.  His love remains with you here, as he has gone on before you now.  My thoughts are prayers with you.

Lillian,    I have fond memories (and a bent, arthritic finger from encounter with the rollers on one of the presses) of my time working with Bill and his family at Star Printing Company, my first real  employment.    At his encouragement, I enlisted in the National Guard also.   I later continued working part time with him for several years after joining the police department.  I always admired Bill and held him in highest regard.  May God bless you and your family at this time of personal loss and sorrow.
