Born in Norfolk Virginia February 2, 1943, to William Edward Allcox and Olivia Poteat Allcox both deceased. Also preceded in death by his sisters Sandra Street and Joanne Thomas. Bill was a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. A member of the U.S. Army, A member of the Masonic Temple of Norfolk, and a Civil Service retiree having worked at both Little Creek Amphibious Base and Norfolk Naval Base. He was the owner of Bradford Heating and Air Conditioning in Chesapeake, Virginia.
He lived a full life and enjoyed the many friends he made at both his civil service employment and through the years as the owner and operator of his business.
Bill was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Sara Lillis Richardson Allcox. Four daughters; Christy Nash-Franks, Cathy Fess, Cindy Pierce, Carey Pratt and their spouses. 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members in Virginia, Wanchese, NC and Wilson, NC.
The family invites you to celebrate his life and friendship with a graveside service at Rosewood Memorial Park 601 North Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA Friday November 29, 2024, at 2pm.
