Theresa Joan Swank, age 87, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born Theresa Joan Szewczyk in Pittsburgh, PA. She lived for many years in Coinjock, NC. Theresa was a happy resident of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach for the last years of her life.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband Harry Charles Swank. Survivors include four children, and their spouses. Debbie & Dennis Economos, Bud Swank II & Falon Saint James, Jeff Swank, and Kellie Swank. Theresa adored her 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach with Rev. Dave Kleffman officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will host a reception immediately following at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for helping their mom feel at home for the last years of her life.
