Susan Morrison Cole, who always considered Virginia Beach her home, died December 28, 2014, succumbing to an extended succession of illnesses. A devout Christian, Susan was a member of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church. She was employed as a legal secretary until the birth of her son Troy, resigning to devote herself to his care. Susan is survived by Troy who dedicated himself to providing care for his mother throughout her illnesses. She is also survived by her father James Morrison and stepmother, Jean, now of Ringgold, Georgia, her sister Cheryl Sprouse and her husband Carl of Ft. Myers, Florida, her sister Kim Ingram and her husband Steve of Chesapeake, her sister Joanne Caddy and her husband Johnny of Hertford, N.C., her sister Jeanne Riley and her husband Eric of Long Beach California. Also surviving Susan is her brother Tommy Morrison and his wife Michelle of Harrisburg, South Dakota, Troy's father David of Virginia Beach, and her fiancée Cameron Yow of Skipwith, VA. Marvin Byrd of Norfolk is Susan's sole surviving uncle. Nephews Chris Ainsley, his wife Selena and their children Ethan and Emma of Hampton, VA survive Susan as do nephews Bryan Ingram of Lynchburg, VA, Dayton and James Caddy, their wives Sarah and Abbey, residing respectively in Maryland, and Hertford, N.C. Four nieces survive Susan - Jayme Ingram of Orlando, FL, Miranda and Sheridan Riley of Long Beach, CA., and Kelly Basham, wife of Brandon and mother of Hailey and Josh of Smyrna, Tennessee.
