Shirley Marie Anderson, age 95, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents James Summerville Wilson and Julia Marie Wilson and her husband Thomas Wright Anderson.
Mrs. Anderson retired as a civil service employee with The Department of Transportation in Washington DC after thirty years of service. She enjoyed traveling with friends especially to Las Vegas and loved pottery.
Survivors include three children, Julia Brennan, Chris Gardiner and his wife Arlene and Robert Gardiner; two grandchildren, Kristina Terryah and Matthew Brennan; four great grandchildren, Travis Brothers, Briana Brennan, Emma Brennan, Kenedi Brennan, and also Jose and his family who have been her best friends for 20 years.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 10a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park.
