Let’s talk about the DASH
Most say it’s when you’re born and when you die that is the important part. When in actuality it’s the DASH that’s important. The DASH is WHAT’D you do; WHEN did you do it and WHOM you did it with.
Let’s talk about Sharon Jordan’s DASH
Our mom was a very caring person. She loved her family and her friends. She may not have known you but if you were our friend, you were mom’s friend too. Our mom loved holidays. She loved vacations with the family. She loved family brunches. She loved seeing smiles on her grandkids faces.
Sharon Carter Jordan was born on February 5, 1951 to James and Florence Carter in Chicago, Illinois. She professed her faith in Christ as a young child. Sharon spent time attending church and singing in the choir with her grandmother, Mary. She continued to show her love of music with her relocation to Virginia Beach, VA with the love of her life, Stanley Jordan.
Sharon excelled in her studies as a child and continued to excel all the way to her Master’s Degree.
Sharon was called from this life to the presence of her Savior, Jesus on Sunday January 16, 2022. She will join the love of her life, Stan; her mother, Florence Perkins and her grandmother, Mary Sanders all of whom preceded her in death.
Sharon leaves to carry on her legacy, her children Darryl (Sarita), La’Shon, Andrea, and Cheron; Her grandchildren, Ashley, Jasmine, Miguel, Darryus, Malik, Malayah, and Ceinna; Her siblings, Michael E. Perkins (Debra), Alicia Perkins, and Patricia Earley (Kenneth); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a great nephew, all of whom she loved dearly.
Sharon lived her life loving and pouring all she had into others. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A memorial service for Sharon will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home/Kempsville, 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
