Mr. Reynolds was a very kind man. He was my math teacher and color guard coach for the FMC of P.A. Mr. Reynolds always kept a smile on your face. He will truly be missed. He's touched so many lives.God bless your family.

My fondest memories are of my time with Mr. Reynolds, my fellow drill team members and the band.  My deepest sympathies to the Reynolds family.

I taught at Princess Anne High School during all the years Sam was there.  He helped make The Fabulous  Marching Cavaliers one of the finest marching bands in Virginia.  He was a great teacher and a good friend.  I will miss him.  My wife and I send our sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Polly, You probably don't remember me, but you and Sam taught me the concept of harmony.  I still make my living playing music in Nashville, TN, and use what you and Sam taught me every day. I thank both of you, and Sam will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.  Mr. Reynolds gave all of his students’ wonderful memories at Princess Anne High School.  He was a wonderful teacher and also made learning fun. I will always remember him riding his bike to P.A. when I was in high school and how he always made students laugh and enjoy class.  Thank you for the great memories Mr. Reynolds.

Sam was the heart and soul of the FMA Drum & Bugle Corps during the year I attended Frederick Military Academy. His vision to incorporate more traditional band instruments into the corps added a refreshing and full sound to the songs we marched to, be it the evening pass in review or a parade downtown.  I know many who were inspired by him in the FMA Glee Club will certainly miss him. Farewell my friend until we meet again on the other shore!  Rich Abrams, FMA class of 1973.

And, he had such a spiritual strength that encouraged me on more than one occasion across the years. We have loved him and Polly and still do. It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of Marshall. He was a wonderful and valued friend during our CHS days. I have great memories of his broad and beautiful smile.

Polly,  I was in school with Sam from the 6th grade through two years at Frederick.  I remember him as a enterprising, great guy who was fun to be around.  His obit shows his character continued throughout his life.  Sorry to hear of his passing but I did no he was very ill.   He will be missed.  Allen Bryant CHS class '59

I was the PAHS drill team captain in 1973-74.  We had the honor of having Mr. Reynolds as our sponsor.  He was also my math teacher.  I will never forget his kindness and sense of humor.
