VIRGINIA BEACH- Samuel Marshall Reynolds, Sr., 69 passed away on May 18, 2010.
Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Harwood and Helen Marshall Reynolds. He graduated from Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia and from Frederick College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. His thirty-six years of teaching were at Frederick Military Academy and Princess Anne High School where he taught math and sponsored the drill team of the Fabulous Marching Cavaliers. He served as treasurer of Faith Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-five years, Polly House Reynolds, four children, Susan Reynolds and husband, Ricardo Burr of Raleigh, North Carolina, Rebecca DaSilva and husband, Darren of Cumming, Georgia; Samuel Marshall Reynolds, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Timothy Reynolds of Norfolk, Virginia; three grandchildren, Jackson DaSilva, Sofia Burr Reynolds and Josie DaSilva; a brother, Dwight Reynolds and three sisters, Betty Philbrick, Josephine Millett and husband, Bill, and Sharon Didio and husband, Carl.
The family will receive friends at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home on Friday, May 21, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. with The Rev. Lee Robison officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
