Ruth was born in Salem, New Jersey. She attended Averett University, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Business, she was employed with TSA for 13 years and loved to travel the world.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 19 years, Sahleem Turner; children, Sahleem Jr., Isaiah and Xadrian; parents, Delbert and Linda Shorter; brothers, Robert McNail and Delwood Morrison; and grandmother, Lillian Morrison.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00am with Visitation beginning 1 hour prior at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
A graveside committal will occur after the service with Reception to follow on site at Rosewood Kellum.
