Ruby Bennett, 83, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011. She is survived by her son, Dennis Bennett and his wife Susan of Charlotte; her son, Randy Bennett of Johnston, Pa., and many grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Alvy Bennett and her son, Edward Bennett. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
