Rose was a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach and retired from Shear Class salon as a hairdresser. Many of her clients had been with her more than fifty years and were counted among her many friends. She was a lifelong member of London Bridge Baptist Church, a former Sunday School teacher, and, along with her dear friend Lee Craddock, took particular pleasure in her work in the nursery there.
She is survived by her son, Forrest White (Marie), of Chesapeake; her daughter, Robin Slaughter (Scott), of Howe, TX; three sisters, Lois Hodges, of Williamsburg; Betty Curling Mills, of Virginia Beach; and Sheila Curling (Tom Bronson), of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Audrey Curling, and a brother, Robert Curling, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, 10:00 am at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 am. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on February 23, 2024 at 9:00am, funeral and interment following at 10:00am at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.
